From now until November 30, 2022, the Columbia office of the Palmetto Trail will be collecting gently used or new shoes and new socks for the Oliver Gospel Mission (OGM). With colder weather already on our doorsteps, now is the time to help those who need it most. Socks and shoes are the most requested needs of the homeless population here in Columbia. So, we ask that during this season of thankfulness, help another step out of homelessness. Send your walking shoes to help someone start a new journey. Boxes will be set up on the porch of the Palmetto Trail office at 722 King Street, Columbia, SC 29205.

“We are so grateful to partner with the Palmetto Trail in guiding those in desperate need this season toward transformation. These acts of kindness can be the “first step” to a new way of life, a new hope, and a promising future,”

said Travis McNeal, Executive Director, Oliver Gospel Mission.

"As an organization that provides walking/hiking/biking trails, we know the importance of keeping feet warm, dry, and protected for all overall health. We thank our contributors and other organizations who join us in supporting Oliver Gospel Mission during our December shoe drive,"

said Mary Roe, Executive Director, Palmetto Trails.

Enhancing Chiropractic Practices with Virtual Chiropractic Assistants and Patient Care Coordinators

The chiropractic field, like many areas of healthcare, is embracing digital transformation to improve patient care and streamline operations. As practices grow and patient expectations rise, chiropractors are turning to remote professionals for support. Two roles in particular—virtual chiropractic assistants and patient care coordinators—are helping chiropractic clinics improve efficiency, ensure smooth operations, and deliver exceptional care. These remote team members reduce the administrative burden on in-house staff and enhance the overall patient experience.

The Role of a Virtual Chiropractic Assistant

Virtual chiropractic assistant services are designed specifically to meet the unique needs of chiropractic clinics. These assistants are trained in medical and chiropractic-specific terminology, workflows, and systems. Working remotely, they…

A crucial outcome of engaging in this assessment is the development of scholarly writing and communication skills. Doctoral-level nurses must be able to articulate their ideas clearly, support arguments with credible evidence, and adhere to academic writing standards such as APA 7th edition formatting. Scholarly writing not only demonstrates mastery of content but also contributes to the dissemination of knowledge within the nursing profession. Publishing evidence-based findings, presenting at conferences, or leading educational workshops are ways nurses can extend their impact beyond individual patient care. Through this assessment NURS FPX 9020 Assessment 3, students refine their ability to communicate complex ideas with clarity, professionalism, and scholarly integrity.

Another central element explored in NURS FPX 9020 Assessment 1 is the integration of nursing theory and research. Theoretical frameworks serve as the backbone of scholarly nursing practice, providing conceptual guidance for evidence interpretation and application. For instance, Jean Watson’s Theory of Human Caring emphasizes holistic and compassionate care NURS FPX 9020 Assessment 2, which aligns with evidence showing the positive impact of emotional support on patient recovery. Similarly, Dorothea Orem’s Self-Care Deficit Theory supports interventions that empower patients to manage their health, reflecting evidence on the effectiveness of patient education in chronic disease management. By linking theory to evidence, nurses can create a stronger rationale for their practice and ensure that their interventions are both scientifically grounded and philosophically…

NURS FPX 9020 Assessment 1 marks the beginning of an advanced journey into the realm of evidence-based nursing practice (EBP) and the development of essential scholarly competencies required for doctoral-level nursing professionals. This assessment sets the foundation for understanding how evidence-based principles influence clinical decision-making, healthcare outcomes, and the transformation of nursing practice. It invites nursing leaders to explore how research, theory, and data-driven evidence merge to support quality improvement, patient safety NURS FPX 9020 Assessment 1, and innovative care delivery. The goal of this assessment is not only to expand the nurse’s academic knowledge but also to strengthen their ability to think critically, analyze evidence, and translate research into practical and measurable outcomes that enhance patient care.

Barriers to quality improvement often include resistance to change, limited resources, time constraints, and lack of leadership support. Overcoming these barriers requires persistence, education, and collaboration. Nurses must use change management principles to navigate resistance and foster a shared sense of purpose among team members. Small NURS FPX 6080 Assessment 5,incremental changes—supported by evidence and communicated effectively—are often more sustainable than large-scale overhauls. Celebrating successes, even minor ones, helps build momentum and demonstrates the tangible value of QI efforts.
