Both of our campuses, the Men's Center and Toby's Place, offer a 30-day maximum overnight shelter program. Overnight guests are provided with a bed, dinner and breakfast.
Guests of our 30-day overnight shelter program are asked to leave the facility between the hours of 7:15 AM and 3:45 PM. This prevents overcrowding in our building and deters loitering, both of which are measures that contribute to the overall safety and well-being of the guests in our long-term Recovery and transitional programs. This also encourages guests who are looking for employment or needing to address other matters such as securing vital records, are free to do so during the day.
For Men: Intake at our Men's Center, located at 1100 Taylor St, Columbia, SC 29201, starts at 9:00 AM by calling or coming in person to register for an available bed. If able to secure one, the guest returns at 12:30 PM for intake.
For Women and Women with Children: Women seeking overnight shelter should call our Connection's Center at (803) 254-6470 ext. 1020 to begin the intake process.
Women are housed at Toby's Place, our center for women and children. This facility is located separately from our Men's Center to assure the safety and well-being for all of our guests.
Toby's Place is equipped with private bedrooms and resources to support women who come with their children.
